Henkel & Grossé, which had previously produced jewelry for Lanvin and Elsa Schiaparelli, began to produce and sell high-end costume jewelry for the 1947 Dior "New Look" line. They produced this glimmering and slinky multi-strand collar box chain necklace in 1975, and by 2005, after a 50 year trade deal, Dior took over the jewelers.
